ABOUT US

Grayson-Collin Christian Co-op (GCCC) is a private, conservative, Christian, parent-led homeschool cooperative serving families throughout northern Collin County and southern Grayson County, Texas. Our members come from a variety of Christian denominations and are united by a shared commitment to biblical values and Christian fellowship. Founded in 2023, GCCC was established to meet the need for a smaller, high-quality homeschool co-op in the northern Collin and southern Grayson County area. From the beginning, our goal has been to foster meaningful Christian friendships and lasting connections among homeschooling families. We intentionally prioritize quality over quantity, creating a welcoming community where families can build strong relationships and support one another in their homeschool journeys.

We currently meet every other Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at a local church in Van Alstyne, Texas, where we offer a variety of enrichment classes and social opportunities for students and their families. Each semester, GCCC offers a variety of enrichment classes for children ages 2–13, as well as a nursery for younger siblings. The types of classes we offer are history, art, cooking, gym, sewing, fashion design, survival skills, STEM, Theater, Improv, and much more.

Sample Co-op Day Schedule

9:15 a.m. – Arrival, Pledge, and Prayer
9:30 a.m. – First Period Class
10:30 a.m. – Second Period Class
11:30 a.m. – Lunch and Recess
12:30 p.m. – Third Period Class

In addition to our co-op classes, GCCC families enjoy field trips, nature days, park days, and other fellowship events that foster learning, friendship, and meaningful connections among students and parents.

GCCC is led by a dedicated Leadership Board that works together to support our families, guide the direction of the co-op, and ensure that all activities and decisions align with our mission and Statement of Faith.

Bonnie - Co-op Director

Bonnie is the founder and Co-op Director of Grayson-Collin Christian Co-op. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and a master's degree in Educational Administration. Her educational background, leadership experience, and love for teaching have given her a unique perspective on both academic excellence and the spiritual development of children.

Throughout her career, Bonnie has taught Math and Science in public schools, as well as Animal Sciences and Building Sciences in a private school setting. Early in her career, her goal was to become a school principal. However, after the birth of her son, she quickly realized that God was calling her to stay home and invest in his education and upbringing. That calling changed the direction of her life and sparked a deep passion for homeschooling and home education that continues to this day.

She is passionate about helping students discover a love for learning while viewing the world through a biblical lens. She especially enjoys teaching biblical-based science and worldview studies, helping children understand how God's truth is woven throughout His creation.

In addition to her classroom experience, Bonnie served for multiple years on the MOPS Leadership Board at First Baptist Church Allen and has been a dedicated Sunday School teacher for more than ten years. One of her greatest joys is watching children grow in their knowledge of God's Word and develop a deeper love for the Lord.

In 2023, Bonnie founded Grayson-Collin Christian Co-op with the vision of providing local homeschooling families with a high-quality, Christ-centered community. As a homeschool parent herself, she recognized the need for a smaller co-op where children could build lasting friendships, families could find encouragement and support, and students could learn in an environment firmly rooted in conservative Christian values.

Hannah Brewer - Board Member

Hannah Brewer received her Bachelor of Science in Childhood Development Education from Texas Woman's University in January 2021. In addition, Hannah has taught theater education for children ages 5–18 for more than 12 years through North Texas Performing Arts, Raising & Educating Christian Arrows, and Interval Performing Arts.

Hannah is happily married to Kelton Brewer, a Paramedic/Captain in Melissa, Texas. Together they have three daughters: Emma, Evelyn, and Elaine. The Brewer family attends worship at a small congregation in Anna, Texas, where they actively fellowship with new members, young families, and older mentors throughout the week.

Hannah volunteers teaching preschool classes at North Collin Church and is passionate about bringing Bible stories to life in the minds of young children. She hopes to continue encouraging students to become the best version of themselves by keeping Christ at the center of their lives.

Hannah has found her passion in educating today's youth and helping them develop strong character traits that will last a lifetime. She is committed to providing opportunities for students to explore their creativity, imagination, and leadership abilities while growing in their faith and confidence.
